Do you know how around how much PESI will charge for grouting? During PESI's Q4 2022 conference call, Mark Duff mentioned a price of $100 per gallon for the TBI program, and he indicated that a similar rate would apply to treating supplemental LAW. However, at the Gabelli Funds 10th Annual Waste & Sustainability Symposium, Mark suggested that PESI might charge between $10 and $30 per gallon for grouting. I already emailed their IR, but have not received a response yet.

My understanding is that the company will charge $100 per gallon for grouting, based on management's previous comments, as you noted. I would point out that the cost of grouting per gallon at another decommissioned nuclear site, Savannah River, was previously estimated at $153 in 2021 and $200 last year. Regarding the $10–$30 per gallon range, I believe you might be referring to the revenues management expects to generate from PFAS treatment rather than Hanford nuclear waste/effluent treatment.

Gabelli Funds 10th Annual Waste & Sustainability Symposium, around minute 27:40. "You know, we expect to start out with 100 to 300 gallons a year for grouting, which in the ballpark of 10 to 30 a gallon for estimates sakes ... " This is what Quarter´s trancsript says, but now that I am listening to the trancsript again, Mark kind of stutters, he says something like "10 to 30 ... 100 bucks a gallon." I think you are right. 100 per gallon seems to be the right price, more so considering the Savannah River estimates. Do you have a transcript of this conference, it seems like Quarter´s transcript is a little flawed.

Thanks for the writeup! I am confused why the the revenue per gallon for grouting the offgas effluent is $40-45 but the supplemental LAW would be $100/gallon. Are these streams being treated the same way? What's the reason for the difference?

Answering my own question. According to the VIC writeup author its a more complicated process and it needs storage. "PESI charges $100 p/gallon for this waste stream rather than $45 bc they perform more complicated leaching & cleaning processes since the waste carries a greater concentration of radioactive elements. They also store it at a 3rd party site." The storage cost results in a lower incremental margin of 65%.
